2017 Class Schedule & Topics

Classes take place over 9 weeks (8 weeks of evening classes, 2 field trips and a mid-course break) and included visits to waste management facilities. Training is followed by 30 hours of community outreach to be graduate as a Certified Master Recycler.

Despite its name, the Master Recycler Program is about the deeper issue of how to prevent waste. The course addresses garbage, recycling and organics disposal, and trains participants in community outreach, leadership and behaviour change.
